We were excited to recently throw open our doors to customers and enthusiasts for the third annual Twisted® summer open day.
With the Yorkshire sun shining down on us, we welcomed over 200 people onto our forecourt to showcase our range of vehicles at our Thirsk headquarters.
Our ‘Defender Parking Only’ row full to the brim with Land Rover® Defender® was certainly a spectacle to see and an unforgettable sight!
The workshop doors were also opened for an exclusive insight into exactly how we modify and transform Land Rover Defender from the ordinary to the Anti-Ordinary.
Our 24-strong team was on hand to answer questions, give tours, and help visitors get the most out of their day. Existing customers took the opportunity to chat to Twisted engineers about their current builds and gain a deeper understanding of the whole improvement process.
Some of the most popular vehicles from the day included our new Classic Twisted range which we recently unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Twisted fans had the opportunity to check out and explore the vehicles up close and we had some fantastic feedback.
Twisted Automotive ambassador and extreme adventurer Sean Conway’s 110 aka ‘Colonel Mustard’ was also on show, alongside Twisted founder Charles Fawcett’s Bahama Gold TD5 and social media favourites, ‘the Monaco twins’!
In addition to the vehicles on display, live music and food and drink kept our visitors entertained all afternoon.
Speaking about the open day Charles said: “Our annual open day is an important day in the calendar for us and we were thrilled to welcome so many people through our doors again.
“We export our vehicles all over the world to places like the USA, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and New Zealand, but we are incredibly proud of our identity as a Yorkshire business, and want to be a part of the Thirsk community.
“It’s been another busy 12 months for us, including the launch of our new Classic Twisted range, the appointment of Sean as our latest ‘Anti Ordinary’ ambassador and the announcement of a new three-year sponsorship deal with Gumball 3000.
“We’ve also grown our staff significantly to underpin our recent progress, and we were excited to meet new people from around the region, while renewing acquaintances with old friends. The open day is a fantastic way for people to find out more about our brand and see what we do first hand.”
